Gravel Union Recommended Events Charter

The Gravel Union Recommended Events Charter is our way of ensuring event organisers have provided an appropriate level of information to participants. Our thumbs up logo doesn’t mean we’ve completed any external validation or assessment and it doesn’t have any legal value, but it does demonstrate that the event organiser has thought out all the details which turn a good gravel event into a fantastic gravel event.

In order to receive the coveted Gravel Union Recommended thumbs up logo, organisers must provide the following information about their event.

  • Website - Detailed event website, with English language option, good quality representative imagery, contact details for organiser.
  • Course specifics - Overview of route, length and amount of climbing, level of technical difficulty, approximate proportion of off-road/road, GPX file provided or course waymarked
  • Support - Details of feed stations/water stops /on-site catering facilities
  • Online entry system with secure payment - Clear details of all costs (extra charges for parking/spectating etc)
  • Covid19 statement/policy in place
