GENERAL NEWS: komoot join the Gravel Union team as our route planning partner

The single most important factor in getting the most out of your gravel bike is decent route advice. Having access to accurate, relevant and up-to-date information about where to ride is not only key to maximising your enjoyment on your bike, but has all sorts of knock-on benefits too – it increases your safety, it makes ride planning more efficient and will even help you judge how many snacks you need to fill your jersey pockets/bar bag with!
When we first started chatting with
komoot about forming a partnership with them, we soon realised that the having a more clearly marked route to follow works in a business context as well as in a getting-the-most-out-of-your-gravel-bike context. Having komoot along for the ride will help Gravel Union to grow and develop in the future and will allow us to invest more in the business and to grow everything that you love about the site and our social media channels.

We’ve got lots of exciting plans for how we’re going to work with komoot in the future:
- We’re going to be running a “Travel Gravel” route of the month series. Each one will have a link to the route via the Gravel Union komoot account, so you will be able to follow the route yourself.
- We will be adding a komoot route link imbedded in the text in relevant editorial pieces from now on.
- We’re going to be offering a free komoot workshop twice a year to Gravel Union readers
- A member of the komoot team will be invited as a guest on one of our Gravel Union Talks livestreams
- If you become a member of our soon-to-be-announced Gravel Cooperative club, you will receive a komoot World Pack voucher code as part of the package.
