Launch of the Gravel Epic 2022 series

In a digital era where attention spans are declining and swipe-swipe-swipe is becoming a default option, if you want to get your audience’s attention, you need something suitably “wow-y” and with their launch video for the 2022 Gravel Epic series, the organisers have pulled out all the stops.

There are two events included in the series for 2022, with big plans to grow this in the future. The series kicks off at the end of March with Gravel Epic Marrakech. The event runs over 3 days, starting in the fabled pink city of Marrakech and heading via the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert. The route will take riders over 335kms of Morocco’s finest gravel trails and includes nearly 7000m of elevation gain. You can find out more about the Morocco event here

But if Morocco’s charms don’t do it for you, then perhaps the majestic scenery and melted cheese of the Swiss Alps will attract you instead. If so, Gravel Epic have just the thing – the alpine scenery of Champex Lac is set to be their second destination in 2022 with Gravel Epic Switzerland.

After successfully running their inaugural Swiss event this year, the Gravel Epic team are heading back to the Pays du Saint Bernard for year two. The event promises 166kms of riding on the Discovery route or 255kms of riding on the Epic route, with 5660m and a whopping 9000m of elevation gain depending which route option you choose. With stunning scenery and a basecamp to return to each evening, this one looks like it will be a real crowd pleaser. You can find out more information on their website here.

We’re going to chatting regularly to the event organisers and will give you the inside view of what’s happening and their plans for the future too.
